MICRODERMABRASION

 Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions.

In microdermabrasion, diamond rough head tool is used on the skin with suction to gently remove the outer layer of your skin. This technique is less aggressive than dermabrasion, so you don't need numbing medicine. It is basically an exfoliation and skin rejuvenation procedure that leaves skin looking softer and brighter.

Microdermabrasion can help improve the skin appearance by reducing fine lines, early sun damage, and mild, shallow acne marks. It is not useful for deep acne scars or deep wrinkles. Skin may become noticeably smoother even after one treatment and better absorb moisturizers.

AFTERCARE

 AVOID scratching or picking at the treatment area. DO NOT use any harsh chemicals, rub or tan your skin for at least one week following the procedure. Avoid facial waxing, use of depilatory creams, electrolysis, IPL or any other laser procedure for at least two weeks after your treatment. Apply sunscreen regularly and apply mineral make up.

SKIN NEEDLING (Collagen Induction Therapy) or Meso Therapy

 Skin Needling uses micro needles on a medical grade pen that is moved over the skin to create tiny, evenly-spaced punctures on the skin. These micro-punctures go through the skin with minimal damage to the upper epidermal layer, but creates a microscopic, generally painless injury to the deeper dermal layer. Skin needling or Meso Therapy is best delivered in a course of 4 to 6 sessions. A minimum of 4-6 sessions is required for skin rejuvenation and 6-8 sessions for pitted acne scarring however more may be needed for more sun damaged and aggressively scarred skins.

Peeling and flaking of the treatment area is very rare, there will be increased skin cell turnover. Use a gentle cleanser & moisturizer to help combat dry skin. The positive results of microneedling will become visible within two to four weeks.

AFTERCARE

Don't apply any kind of makeup for at least 24 hours to 48 hours after the procedure as it's important to allow your skin barrier to heal over. Using make up brushes canirritate the open skin, and if there's any bacteria on the brushes you run the risk of developing a skin infection. Use of Mineral Make up is strongly recommended.

Always wear sunscreen. Do not go swimming for at least 72 hours post-treatment. Do not exercise or participate in strenuous activity for the first 72 hours post-treatment. Sweating and gym environments in general are harmful and filled with bacteria, which may cause adverse reactions in your skin. Change your pillow cover daily for 3 days to avoid any contact with bacteria.

PREPARATION for NEEDLING

You will be asked to discontinue use of Retin A, Retinols, Vitamin A creams and other topic medications for 3-5 days before your micro needling treatment. It is required that you wear a sunscreen daily and use the appropriate home care topical products. Examples are Urban Skin Rx Even Tone Cream or Retinol Pads.

  What is the downtime?

  After the treatment, the client may experience mild redness and swelling, similar to a sunburn, which usually subsides within a day or two. Most individuals can resume their regular activities immediately following the procedure, however it is essential to follow post-treatment instructions provided to you by your Therapist.

  8. **Immunosuppression**: Those with weakened immune systems may be at a higher risk for infection or poor healing.

  9. **Isotretinoin Use**: This acne medication can interfere with healing and raise the risk of scarring, hence it’s usually recommended to wait a certain period after completing the course before undergoing RF Microneedling.

  Aftercare

• Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications for one week after the procedure.

• Do not use ice on your face, and avoid using arnica/bromelain. These may interfere with the natural inflammatory process that’s critical for your skin rejuvenation.

• Avoid sun tanning and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks. After 24 hours, always use sunblock (30 SPF or higher) and wear a hat if you’re outside.

• Try to avoid harsh chemicals / make up after treatment. If makeup must be used, please use a gentle mineral makeup.

DERMAPLANING

Dermaplaning is a non invasive skin procedure to exfoliate the dead skin cells along with the peach fuzz (facial hair). I this procedure is done with a special instrument called surgical blade by the therapist. By removing the top layer off dead skin cells and vellus hair, newer and younger skin cells are revealed. It is a painless and safe procedure.

This unique approach stimulates the production of fresh, young skin cells, which helps your skin to breathe easier. Active ingredients in the skin care products can penetrate deeper, resulting in healthier skin. Treatment is gentle and take very little time, ideal for the busy lifestyle.

We recommend coming in every 4 weeks to maintain results and continue to see improvement. No downtime with this procedure.

This procedure does not affect the hair growth, if done correctly ( not recommended doing at home). The hair will grow at normal pace and normal texture.
